We run a blind dating business, and one of our interns mistakenly listed an event on the Bookmyshow platform with incorrect venue details. Our events don’t have a fixed venue until participants register, but Bookmyshow requires selecting a venue to list the event. The intern randomly selected "xyz Café" in Jaipur as the venue, unaware that the café had been closed for three years. Despite clearly stating in the event listing that the venue was not confirmed and participants should not go to any location without confirmation, some attendees went to the café’s old location, which is now the xyz Hotel. As a result, xyz hotel's security manager filed a complaint with the cyber security department, claiming confusion and inconvenience caused by attendees showing up. The cyber security department is asking us to visit Jaipur because one customer booked a Rs. 15,000 ticket at the hotel due to this misunderstanding. We took down the event listing immediately after learning about the issue, and we want to resolve this matter peacefully. We believe this was an honest mistake by our intern, and the attendees were clearly informed not to visit the venue. We would like your advice on how to respond to this situation and whether we should visit Jaipur to address the complaint.

Dear Client, As per your query, you should write to the cyber security department with an explanation of how this incident might be peacefully resolved. You explain to them that listing the venue was a mistake made by an innocently error prone intern and that an event listing showed warnings being issued in to the attendees to avoid visiting the venue without making sure. You stressed you immediately acted accordingly and pulled the listing when I discovered the error. Agree to cooperate fully to resolve the issue, which means that if compensation is the case, then promise to compensate the aggrieved customer. Request not to escalate the matter, seeing you are transparent and acting in good faith. According to your complaints, a visit to Jaipur would depend on the seriousness of the complaint and requirements made by the department. However, an initial offer to resolve the matter even remotely might be a potential proposal. You should also be ready to offer direct communication with the hotel to assuage any apprehensions they may have. Hope this answers your query.

Dear Sir, You may ask local advocate in Jaipur to take FIR from Cyber Police and get a stay and there after get it quashed in the High Court since it was a bonafide mistake and there was no intention on your part to mislead anybody.

Dear Client, We can advise you better if you may give us few more details like, 1. Where is your business located 2. Whom and which event has the complainant paid the amount 3. Whether the client's note of "confirm about venue" is clearly visible
