Dear client as per your query, A person can even get his verification done by the police without an Aadhaar card. Even the Hon'ble Supreme Court has said that Aadhaar cannot be made compulsory for all services except government subsidy and ITR filing. In police verification, the law would itself provide any other officially valid document such as a passport, voter ID, or driving license as sufficient. If the police refuse to accept the valid documents and insist on Aadhaar, the individual can apply for redressal to the district Superintendent of Police or the State Human Rights Commission. A writ petition may also be filed if necessary in the High Court for the enforcement of the fundamental right under Article 21.For a detailed discussion you can contact us.

Dear Client, a person can undergo police verification without an Aadhaar card, especially considering the Supreme Court's ruling that Aadhaar should not be mandatory for purposes other than government subsidies and income tax returns. If the police are denying verification solely due to the absence of Aadhaar details, despite the submission of other officially valid documents, you have several avenues to pursue. First, you should approach the local police station where your application was submitted. Request a formal explanation for the denial of verification and present your valid documents again. If this does not resolve the issue, you can escalate the matter by contacting the Passport Seva Kendra or the relevant authority overseeing passport applications in your region. They can guide how to proceed and may facilitate communication with the police. If these steps do not yield results, consider filing a formal complaint with higher authorities, such as the District Superintendent of Police or the Home Department of your state. For detailed discussion, you can contact us.
